Replace Leaking Shower
This is a common job that we come across.
Here the homeowner discovered their tiled shower was leaking into the garage below.
Upon inspection it was found to be a failure of the waterproof membrane & not from any plumbing pipes. As the homeowner wasn't planning on a full renovation, we were able to just redo the shower.
The shower walls & floor were removed. The particleboard flooring was replaced. The surrounding floor, although water damaged, was structurally sound & so would be replaced when the rest of the bathroom was done. For this job we installed a "Wedi" waterproofing system. This system comes with a factory made shower base & wall panels that are installed together on site to make a fully waterproof enclosure that is ready for flood testing / tiling after two hours.
